So, have you guys heard of/used Retro Clean? It's basically a magic potion that lifts decades-old stains and discoloring out of beautiful clothes.

After trying so many cleaning combos (baking soda, fragrance-free detergent, vinegar) I had all but given up on a few pieces. I thought I'd give Retro Clean a go and see how it worked. And...I have not been disappointed.

Since I've enjoyed using Retro Clean so much, I thought one of you might like to try it as well! Retro Clean has generously given me a packet of Retro Clean and Retro Wash to give away to a reader! Here's how to enter:

1.) Leave a comment saying what you would use Retro Clean to rejuvenate!
2.) Like the Retro Clean and Amy & Angie Facebook pages

That's it! This time next Friday, I'll be sharing my before & after Retro Clean photos, as well as the winner of the giveaway!

Good luck :)

ps, for a second entry, be sure to check out my Instagram page next week ;)

Vintage Motivation // Much Needed Rest

Found this quote earlier today:

I like Dustin Hoffman and all...but he's just wrong. You know what the best thing about vacation is? You get stuff done that you totally forgot you had to do!

During my blogging break I gutted my apartment of all things unwanted (and not needed) and cleaned like I had never before. I cleaned the walls and ceilings! No matter what anyone says, a vacation is a good thing, even if you never leave your city/town/village/whatever.

Also, I love Super Nintendo. I bet Dustin Hoffman hates that, too.

Summer Break!

I'm taking it the tiniest bit easy this week (and last) so I can really enjoy all the wonderful things Chicago has to offer in the summer :) So while there's no shop update this week, I do have some pretty little things to show off:

Like this pale pink and cream number that just looks like the dress version of whipped cream, right?

1960s Jon McCauley Dress

And this adorable set of Domino Sugar canisters. I just love hitting the thrift stores near my sister's home!

I had a blast over the weekend at the Vintage Garage, so look for that recap later in the week.
